The ranking is based on 11 performance indicators and evaluates research projects across three main dimensions: Inputs, Process, and Outputs.

Strong Performance Among Universities in Türkiye

Its category-based performance in Türkiye was as follows:

Administrative support, facilities, and interdisciplinary research capacity
  • Outputs: 42nd
Publication quality, reputation, and the number of interdisciplinary publications
  • Inputs: 70th

The Importance of Interdisciplinary Science

Introduced for the first time by THE and Schmidt Science Fellows, this ranking evaluates not only universities’ strength within a single field, but also their ability to integrate core disciplines such as engineering, computer science, life sciences, and physical sciences with other areas including social sciences, education, and economics.
