Konya Technical University has achieved a significant international milestone in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2025.
Placed in the 601+ band overall, KTÜN secured its position among Asia’s respected higher education institutions. In the evaluation, 111 universities from Türkiye were considered, while only 91 universities were included in the final ranking. Among these institutions, KTÜN was placed in the 35+ band nationally.
The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings assess universities across five main areas: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry Engagement.
In Türkiye-specific indicator results, KTÜN ranked 27th in Research Quality, 57th in Teaching, 67th in Research Environment, 80th in International Outlook, and 87th in Industry Engagement.
Commenting on the achievement, Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik said:
“Our University’s inclusion in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2025 for the first time is a concrete reflection of the high-quality academic work we have undertaken and our strategic vision for development. This achievement is a source of pride not only for the KTÜN family, but also for our city and our country in terms of international representation in higher education. We remain committed to further advancing our academic performance and institutional capacity year by year. In the coming period, we will continue to strengthen our research quality, international collaborations, and engagement with industry in order to achieve even higher positions in these rankings.”
The Rector also thanked all academic and administrative staff, students, and stakeholders who contributed to this achievement, emphasizing that the University is moving forward with determination toward becoming a more visible and influential higher education institution at the global level.
