Konya Technical University has achieved a notable success in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, published by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world’s most respected higher education ranking organizations.
Based on a comprehensive evaluation covering indicators such as teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry engagement, THE included Konya Technical University in the global rankings for both Engineering and Physical Sciences.
Global Recognition in Engineering
In Engineering, KTÜN was placed in the 1251+ band worldwide. As one of the 79 universities from Türkiye represented in this subject area, the University has once again demonstrated its visibility at both national and international levels through its academic output, research capacity, and strong emphasis on applied sciences.
International Visibility in Physical Sciences
In Physical Sciences, Konya Technical University was ranked in the 1001–1250 band worldwide, marking another important achievement. As one of the 56 universities from Türkiye included in this field, the University has further strengthened the international visibility of its academic performance in both basic and applied sciences.
KTÜN also stood out in the International Outlook indicator in Physical Sciences, where it ranked 18th in Türkiye. This result reflects the University’s strong performance in international co-authored publications, academic collaboration, integration into global academic networks, and international academic appeal.

The THE World University Rankings by Subject are widely regarded as an important benchmark for highlighting universities’ subject-specific strengths, assessing their global academic competitiveness, and informing institutional strategies through data-driven insights. Konya Technical University’s inclusion in these rankings in Engineering and Physical Sciences is considered a clear reflection of its research-oriented development strategy, strong academic staff, and vision for internationalization.
